France - Southern Rhone Flashcards

Dry, med acid, full body, med alc, oily texture, pronounced intensity w/ aromas that mirror the nose. Very well defined aromas; this wine displays a clear varietal definition, with a ripe, candied fruit profile. Long, lingering, fruity finish; great fruit concentration.
This is an aromatic wine, without any complexity related to winemaking or ageing.
Acid & alc are in perfect balance and form a solid structure for the fruit concentration in this wine, which carries through a long and persistent perfumed finish; this is a highly aromatic wine; no other winemaking techiniques can be detected here other than fermentation in an inert vessel, at an appropriate temp range that preserved the primary fruit aromas.
