Specifies procedures for vehicle Maintenace log
Specs of the binder used as a “log Book”
Shall be a 1”, three ring binder marked with the 4-digit Vehicle Id number in the front maintained in the cab
Section A of vehicle log book
Vehicle Inspections
Completed every day the vehicle is in operational capacity
When online vehicle inspection system is down what steps are to follow
Complete the daily check FRD-162
Upon online system being operational the information shall be entered including the date of the FRD 162 in the Comments section
What shall be reported on M5 vs immediately reporting to OIC and Duty Apparatus
Noted deficiencies placed on M5
Issues that affect the vehicles safe operation must be immediately reported to UNIT OIC and DUTY APPARATUS
Section B
SCBA Inspection Records
Unassigned and reserve SCBAs shall be inspected atleast once a month
Section C
Vehicle Certs
Current copy of vehicle registration, state inspection, EMS cert
Section D
Vehicle Specs
Provided by apparatus section and it shall permanently remain in section D

Vehicle Inventory

Miscellaneous Fuel Code
How often shall reserve and unstaffed apparatus be inspected per SOP 03.06.02
Ready Reserve and Unstaffed apparatus shall be inspected once a week
When using an FRD-162 what shall be done upon entering info to online system
FRD 162 shall be stored in the logbook until the end of the month and maintained in the fire station files for 3 years before disposal
