- Returned to station in compartment of truck (not in cab).
- Place bag into waste receptacle - if bag does not fit place beside receptacle and call A&M to procure pick up by waste disposal company

- Ensure the yellow copy of the is completed by the defibrillator operator
- Ensure the completed yellow copy is place into a sealed confidential envelope and left at the station for the medical training officer

Sealed confidential envelope and forwarded to division of training.

What is an unprotected exposure?(3)
- tissue under skin (bite where skin is broken)
- body fluid in contact with non-intact skin
- body fluid in contact with mucous membrane

What is a significant exposure?
any unprotected exposure with an agent that ma cause illness or disease - i.e. needle stick, non intact skin, mucous membranes, failure of PPE

What are some high risk sources for significant exposure? (11)
- Known HIV, HCV, HBV positive
- IV drug/alcohol abuser
- homeless population
- multiple sexual partners
- sex worker
- immigrant from high endemic are or recent travel (i.e. Africa)
- Source had blood transfusion, blood product, or organ transplant between 1978 and 1985
- same sex sexual activity
- sexual partner form above group
- current or recent imprisonment
- infants born to HIV infected women

When suspected unprotected or significant exposure happens all personnel shall?
- report a possible exposure to their immediate supervisor
- seek immediate medical care
- complete a workplace injury/illness report
