Procedures for level 1 operations (standby)
- contact building representative
- have them contact the elevator maintenance company to provide a technician and ETA. No building representative have comms contact the maintenance company. numbers can be found in fire safety plan lockbox or elevator machine room
- size up
- assess the elevator occupants for life threatening conditions
- assess entrapment for appropriate level of response
- continue to assess occupants for any change
- apparatus may clear when a responsible person is standing-by and assessing the occupants for chance

Procedures for level 2 operations?
- level 1 oper ations
- notify EMS
- extricate using approved equipment, guide lines and lockout procedures
- prior to removal the mainline disconnect must be locked out
- any removal must be done under the supervision of certified personnel or an elevator mechanic

- Mainline disconnect must be locked out
- open landing door using any of the prescribed methods
