Introduction
The USA is struggling to overcome social and economic inequalities, especially when it comes to minorities being treated as equals.
Many factors have added to the increasing rates of inequalities in the USA, such as education, health, unemployment, and poverty.
This essay will discuss how these factors have greatly contributed to the rising rate of socioeconomic inequalities.
Paragraph one (education)
P- Social and economic issues are evident when examining education in the USA.
E-Africans Americans and Hispanics are more likely to live in poorer areas, attend schools with less funding compared to schools located in richer areas.
E- funding gap, in 2018 a report found that 27 out of the 50 states (over half) have funding gaps.
A- some states are likely to spend thousands of dollars more on pupils in richer areas resulting in richer kids getting a higher chance of attending college compared to poorer kids.
H- some middle-class families can afford to send their children to well-resourced schools.
E- Some families do have the funds to send their children to schools which would more likely lead to them attending ivy leagues but chose not to spend that money. E- 92% of Asian and pacific islander students graduated from high school in 2018.
A- This proves that some families can afford to send their kids to better off schools but not all.
C- minorities receiving poor education affects the USAs social and economic inequalities to a great extent. The government’s funding should be fairly distributed between all schools no matter the location, giving everyone the same opportunities.

H-The government has enforced schemes to overcome this prejudice.
E-Medicare designed to help low paid adults receive free medical care.
E- More than 58 million Americans rely on Medicare.
A-This highlights how the USA is trying to support those who cannot afford healthcare, but they need to better fund this scheme.
C- In conclusion, many Americans still are not getting the efficient health care they deserve which is why health has had a great extent in increasing socioeconomic rates.
Paragraph 3 (poverty)
P- The third factor contributing to socioeconomic issues is poverty seen in minorities.

H- There has been a development of black middle-class neighborhoods.
E- Many African Americans have been able to afford houses in the suburbs and move out of the ghettos.
E- Atlanta and Los Angeles have thriving black middle-class areas.
A- This displays the idea that the world has changed, and black people are getting the same chances as whites but not always.
E- This inequality has had a great extent on socioeconomic inequalities, this is because a lot of blacks live in America and only a small portion of them is able to move out of the ghettos.
Paragraph four (unemployment)
P- The last factor that adds to socioeconomic inequalities is unemployment.
E- Many American citizens (mainly minorities) face unemployment resulting in a poor livelihood.

E- Asians are more likely to graduate high school and attend college resulting in them getting a higher paid job.
E- Asians average income was $94,903 in 2020.
A- This demonstrates how Asians have been able to work their way out of the poverty cycle.
C- Unemployment has impacted inequalities to a great extent. Although Asians are succeeding other ethnic groups are struggling and not receiving support from the US government
Conclusion
Overall, all these factors have contributed to socioeconomic issues to a great extent. Minorities seem to be the biggest victim of these factors, thankfully more minorities have been given equal opportunities to whites. The US government needs to put in more funding and support to help these minorities to ensure a fair chance which would result in less poverty, unemployment, bad health, and poor education.
