- > discovered that some areas are less active during goal/task focused thinking but more active during rest

- > average time to show symptoms of COVID-19 is close to 6 days (lots of time to spread it to others)

primary: stop it before it happens
- > social distancing
- > basic sanitation
- > eduction
secondary: early detection of disease, halt spread, initiate treatment
- > COVID-19 testing
- > preventative screening
social determinants of health
refers to a specific group of social and economic factors within the broader determinants of health.
- > these relate to an individual’s place in society such as income, education or employment (all affected by COVID)
