Visual guidance
A
Something to look at and replicate.
Advantages - means the learner knows what skill they have to learn to perform and what it looks like.
Disadvantages - if it is a video then the learner will not be able to clarify their understanding

Verbal guidance
A
Used before giving a demonstration but is is more often used at the same time as the visual
Advantages - the coach can explain in further detail or emphasise specific points about the skill.
Disadvantages - it can be difficult for beginners to understand verbal guidance.

Manual/mechanical
A
When the coach is actually in contact with the learner as they perform the skill
Advantages - the coach can help the performer to execute the skill safely and successfully
