What is a PAR-Q?
A self-screening tool that can be used by anyone who is planning to start an exercise or training routine.

What is the cardiovascular phase of a warm-up?
The first phase of a warm-up to increase our heart rate to it’s working heart rate. This should take 10-15 minutes.
What is the stretching phase of a warm-up?
The second phase of a warm-up, dedicated to stretching and preparing our muscles, this will increase our reach and will reduce risk of injury.
What are the two main sorts of stretching?
Static & Dynamic
What is static stretching?
Easy, on the spot stretching without straining.
What is dynamic stretching?
Stretches that use movements specific to a sport,
gradually increasing your reach and speed.
What is the sports specific phase of a warm-up?
The third and final phase of a warm-up. This phase will be to practice the skills of a sport or activity.
