It’s important because if somebody has a poor BMI they strain their muscles and makes you more prone to injuries and diseases like diabetes.

In order or relevance outline which HRC of fitness are most important for a football player (Winger)?

A
  1. Flexibility - to be able to skillfully take on defenders and so they won’t cramp up because they are playing for 90 minutes.
  2. Body Composition - so they are light and fast so they can accelerate past defenders and create chances.
  3. Cardiovascular Fitness - so the winger can keep taking the defender on throughout the whole game performing at the same level.
  4. Muscular Endurance - So they can keep playing without cramping up or pulling muscles as they are constantly changing speed and direction.
  5. Muscular Strength - To shrug off defenders in tight scenarios.
