1961 bandura - supports when given opportunity and child identifies with model, they imitate observed aggressive behaviour. 1963 supports importance of vicarious reinforcement. Highly controlled lab study shows clear cause and effect.

Being aggressive towards a doll does not have the sa,e implications as being aggressive towards another person e.g. doll can’t hit back. Not ecological valid, no interaction between child and model. Not generalisable

A
