Because gels are better able to penetrate in hairy areas
How to differentiate dandruff from tinea capitis?
Hair loss is present in tinea capitis / cradle cap
What is tinea unguium?
A fungal nail infection.
Topical Tx = 6-12 months (need to keep going until infection grows out)
Oral Tx = 6-12 weeks
Pityriasis vericolour is a yeast infection that results in? More common in ..?
Results in either hyper or hypo pigmentation in skin
Usually asymptomatic
More common in adults that sweat a lot

Keep area clean and dry, don’t share towels, avoid scratching, wear shoes in shower

Topical aciclovir 5 times a day or
