A
process by which the kidneys filter the blood, removing excess wastes and fluids

What is tubular reabsorption?
A
process that moves solutes and water out of the filtrate and back into your bloodstream.

What are the tubules of the kidneys?
A
tiny tubes in the kidneys that returns nutrients, fluids, and other substances that have been filtered from the blood, but the body needs, back to the blood.

A
- filters your blood
- As blood flows into each nephron, it enters a cluster of tiny blood vessels—the glomerulus.
- The thin walls of the glomerulus allow smaller molecules, wastes, and fluid—mostly water—to pass into the tubule
