What is a sin?
Any action or thought which separates humans from God.
What is the original sin?
The belief that all humans are born with the in-built desire to sin and do bad - comes from Adam and Eve
What is salvation?
Saving the soul, deliverance from sin and admission to Heaven.
What is Grace?
A quality of God, which he shows by providing humans with love and support that they do not need to earn.
What teachings suggests that you don’t have to be rich to go to Heaven and that Heaven is for everyone?
“Happy are those who know they are poor - the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!”

What ideas support salvation through works?
Salvation through works is the idea that whether or not we are saved depends on how we act in life.
God judges people after death - this implies that what we do matters.
Passages in the Bible eg The 10 Commandments and The Beatitudes suggest that our actions matter.
Beliefs about salvation through grace?
Salvation through grace is the idea that God’s Grace is enough to get someone into Heaven.
God’s Grace is always going to be fair and just because justice is part of God’s nature.
“For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts but God’s gift so don’t boast about it” - Ephesians 2:8-0.
