Q

What are the consequences of shock

A

Decreased CO and blood pressure results in inadequate tissue perfusion and oxygen supply to the tissues

Q

How does neurogenic shock strike?

A
Loss of sympathetic tone to vasculature and heart
Massive venous and arterial vasodilation
Increased capillary permeability
Loss of volume
Reduced venous return SVR and heart rate
reduced stroke volume

Q

How does vasoactive shock strike?

A
Mediators released
Massive venous and arterial dilation and capillarys become very permeable
Loss of volume
