- patient is kept in private room with door closed at all times
- cluster care to gets lots of things done at once to prevent going in and out of room
- limit care time to 30 min TOTAL if possible
- wear dosimeter badge when in patients room (measures how much radiation you’ve been exposed to)
- wear lead apron and face patient at all times!
Brachytherapy visitor policy
- visitors must be 6 ft away from patient at all times
- limit visits to less than 30 min
- no children under 18
- no pregnant providers or visitors
