A

Performance accomplishments - performer is reminded of previous successes in the chosen skill

Vicarious experiences - performer watches others of equal ability performer the problematic skill successfully

Verbal persuassion - positive communication convinces the performer that they can complete the skill successfully

Control of arousal - performer evaluates their internal feelings and physiological state (if develop good self confidence&raquo_space; BAHL)

Explain Vealeys model of sports confidence

A

Sporting situation - The type of skill that is to be performed

Trait sports confidence (SC - trait) - Generalised belief about their ability to bring about success in a wide range of sports
Inate, stable and enduring

Competitive orientation - The extent to which an individual is prepared to compete

State sports confidence (SC - state) - Relates to the quality of the skill that is to be performed / belief in ability to achieve in that skill
Learned confidence, unstable and changable

Performance of the skill

Subjective outcome - how the performer believes that the performance went

This then increases / decreases confidence in ability and competitivness
