How to selectively breed an organism

A

1) Select organisms from your existing stock which have the best characteristics.
2) Breed them with each other.
3) Select the best of the offspring, and breed them with one another.
4) Continue this process over several generations, and the desirable characteristic gets stronger and stronger.
5) In farming, this will give the farmer gradually better and better yields.
