Upper: civilised: real tennis (sophisticated rules/organised)
Lower: less time, violent, religious holidays: mob football

Working: no written rules or regular fixtures - differ in villages
Upper; educated, all same rules (complex), organised, sophisticated

Limited law and order = violent destructive, upper class do not take part in destructive sports (primitive nature )
