What will happen to the taxi lights if left ON and the landing gear is retracted?
On aircraft with ASC 131 the taxi lights will turn OFF, and the ON light in the switch light capsule will extinguish. Without ASC 131, the taxi lights will remain ON after takeoff.
If the airplane is being taxied at night, how is the adjoining taxiway lit when making a sharp turn?
The taxi lights are located on the steerable part of the nose strut.
During emergency evacuation or ditching after dark, how would you turn on the external emergency exit lights?
By selecting them ON with the emergency battery switch.
What will cause the “cats eye” indicator to show white over black in the navigation / strobe light area?
If on or both of the strobe light bulbs should fail
What is the limitation concerning the use of landing light on the ground?
Operation is limited to 5 minutes
On aircraft with only 2 emergency batteries, how are the cabin emergency light turned on?
Either manually with the switch on each battery-operated light, or automatically with a 2.5 G or greater impact
On aircraft with 4 emergency batteries, how are the cabin emergency lights turned on?
By selecting them ON with the emergency battery switch, automatically with a loss of power on the ESS DC bus, or automatically with a 2.5 G or greater impact.
