SEARCH OF PERSONS

Question 1

After arrival at the station with an arrested person SHALL:

Answer 1

1. SEARCH the POLICE VEHICLE
2. Advise the OIC of what TYPE OF SEARCH has been CONDUCTED and what has BEEN FOUND thus far.
3. If a FRISK SEARCH has NOT been FULLY COMPLETED then ensure the FRISK SEARCH is completed in it’s ENTIRETY in front of the OIC and is audio and video recorded.
4. Ensure the manner of BOOKING AND SEARCH NOTICE - FRISK SEARCH is read to the person prior to the search.
5. When it is believed that RG exist for a STRIP SEARCH , articulate to the OIC and advise them of the grounds and circumstances involved

Question 2

When a strip search has been completed SHALL

Answer 2

1. Ensure the OIC will complete the Booking and Search template
2. If applicable, OIC will complete the TRANS PERSON SPECIFIC DETAILS SECTION of the BOOKING AND SEARCH TEMPLATE
