All firearms and ammunition seized during an investigation will either be:
- SEIZED by GnG if they attend the scene or division
- SUBMITTED by investigating officer to the divisional DLMS (procedure 09-03)
- SEIZED on scene by FIS
And forwarded to FIAU for testing and further investigation
When involved in the seizure of any licence, authorization, permit or registration shall
- Provide the eReport # to FIAU
- Lay the appropriate charges where RG exist
In all cases involving VIOLENCE, THREATS or WEAPONS or in which ESCALATION appears to be a likely consequence shall consider……. Under the CC or seeking a ….

FAs SUPERVISOR
When attending an incident relating to a FA offence shall
- Assume the responsibility for the SAFE and EFFICIENT search of the premises
- Ensure all powers of SEARCH and SEIZURE have been considered
- Ensure appropriate units have been notified (eg ETF, GnG, FIS)
DIVISIONAL/UNIT INVESTIGATOR
Upon notification of eReport follow up for DNA/fingerprint identification and or IBIS linkage SHALL
- Complete the required investigative follow up
- Request appropriate extension period in consultation with the DS of unable to FOLLOW UP WITHIN (14) days
If the follow up is not actioned within (14) days and no extension was requested the eReport will show …..

If the follow up is not actioned in ….. day’s notification will be sent to the case managers…..
