Is a very small gland near the center of your brain. It helps keep your circadian rhythm (your internal body clock).
Pineal Gland
Is an area of your brain that links your brain to your hormonal system.
Hypothalamus
Is sometimes called the “master” gland of the endocrine system because it controls the functions of many of the other endocrine glands.
Pituitary Gland
Are 4 small glands in your neck that regulate calcium levels in your blood.
Parathyroid Gland
Influence the metabolism, energy levels, body temperature, and calcium levels
Thyroid Gland
Is the organ primarily responsible for the production and maturation of immune cells that protect the body against foreign antigens.
Thymus
Influence a person’s body stress response, blood pressure control, and metabolism
Adrenal Glands
Is an exocrine and endocrine gland. The main endocrine function of this is to control your blood sugar levels
Pancreas
Controls the blood sugar levels. They remove waste products and excess water from the body and help to regulate blood pressure. They activate vitamin D, which helps to maintain strong bones and produce erythropoietin, a hormone that is vital for the production of red blood cells.
Kidneys
Make sperm and hormones involved in puberty and reproduction
Testes
Store and release eggs and make hormones involved in puberty and reproduction
Ovaries
