Do not have valves
Infections can be transmitted from the scalp to the cranial cavity
Why do scalp laceration bleed profusely?
Due to lack of vasoconstriction
Which arteries supply the scalp?
Supraorbital and Supra trochlear from Ophthalmic artery .
Superficial temporal, Post.auricular and Occipital from the External carotid artery.
Which veins drain the scalp?
Supraorbital and Supratrochlear to Facial vein.
Sup.temporal, Post. Auricular and Occipital
What do muscles of facial expression allow?
enable us to move our skin and change our facial expression.
Which nerve supplies all muscles of facial expression?
