Problems with random sampling?
A
Sometimes there is not an evenly spread distribution of species so results are not always representative

If an area clearly has a pattern in species (e.g. Moving away from a river bank) what method of sampling is most appropriate?
A
Using a transect
Tape measure is laid out perpendicular to bank and quadrats laid at even intervals along the tape (e.g. Every 5 metres)
