PRESERVATIVE FREE
indications for epidural anx
perineal/anal surgery, hind limb surgery, lower abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery, frontal limb surgery
Complications of Epidural anesthesia
hypotension, venous puncture, spinal cord puncture/damage, delayed hair regrowth, cranial migration of drug, pruritis, urinary retention, temporary hind limb paralysis
Contraindications of Epidural
skin infection at injection site, blood clotting problems, septicemia, fractured pelvis or spine, pre-existing hypotension, meningitis, CNS disorders, neurologic disease
Brachial plexus block
nerves blocked include radial, ulnar, musculocutaneous, median, axillary
Complications of brachial plexus block
– intravascular injection, subscapular hematoma, pneumothorax, nerve damage/paralysis , lameness, infection, diaphragmatic dysfunction in humans
