When disconcertion by an opponent is followed by a violation by the free throw shooter, what is the correct ruling?
The free throw shooter will attempt another try. 9.2.1.a pg 80
When there is a marked lane space violation by a free thrower’s teammate, followed by a violation by an opponent, what is the ruling?
If no free throws are to follow, then the opponent of the shooting team gets the ball out of bounds at the nearest spot. 9.2.3.a pg 80
When there is a marked lane space violation by an opponent followed by a violation by a teammate of the shooter, what is the ruling?
If the free throw is good, count it and move on. If it is missed, then call the violation and re-shoot the free throw. 9.2.3.b pg 80
When there are violations by both teams, first by the opponents of the shooting team and then by a shooter or shooter’s teammate outside of a marked lane space, what is the ruling?
This is a double violation. Possession arrow if there are no more shots. Cancel the first shot and shoot the second if there are more shots to follow. 9.2.4. pg 80
If the first violation is by an opponent , followed by a violation by the free thrower and then a free thrower’s teammate outside the marked lane spaces, what is the ruling?
Penalize both violations by the shooting team…in bounds throw in for the defense. This is not a possession arrow. 9.2.4.b pg 80
When an opponent’s fake causes the free thrower or a teammate to violate, what is the ruling?
Penalize the fake. Shoot again if missed. 9.2.4.c pg 81
If there is a simultaneous violation by each team, what is the procedure?
The ball becomes dead…possession arrow. 9.2.5 pg 81
The ball is out of bounds when it passes over the backboard in either direction. True or False?
True 9.3.2 pg 81
Team A scores a basket. B1 picks up the ball to make the throw in. B2 steps out of bounds on the other side of the key to accept the pass, but B1 does not throw it to her. After 2 seconds, B2 steps in bounds and B1 throws B2 the ball, making B2 the first player to accept the pass after stepping out of bounds. Is this legal?

When does a jump ball end?
When it touches any of the 8 non jumpers, the floor, the basket or becomes dead. 6.2.2 pg 67
What are the restrictions for the 8 non jumpers during a jump ball?
Once the official is ready to make the toss, they may not move into the center circle, or change positions until the ball has left the official’s hand. They may also not break the plane of the circle until the ball has been touched, or take a position in any occupied space. They may not occupy adjacent spaces around the circle when an opponent wants one of those positions.
