Any official is to notify the head coach and the team when a final timeout has been taken. 2.7.14 pg 35

It is recommended, but not required. 2.1.3 pg 33
Reset the shot clock for the following 8 reasons.
1.) When team control is re-established after the team loses possession of the ball. 2) A single Personal foul. 3.) A single Technical foul against the defense. 4.) When a held ball occurs (with exceptions) 5.) When a try for goal strikes the ring or flange and possession is gained by either team. 6.) When a violation occurs 7.) When an intentionally fisted or kicked ball occurs with 14 seconds or less…then reset to 15. 8.) When an inadvertant whistle occurs with no player or team control. 2.11.6 a-g pg 38
What are the exceptions to the shot clock reset with jump balls?
1.) The offensive team retains control. 2.) After a held ball occurs during a throw in or an unsuccessful try that does not contact the rim and the arrow favors the throw in team 3.) After the ball goes out of bounds and was last touched simultaneously by both teams, both of whom are in bounds or out of bounds. 2.11.6.c. pg 38
Stop the shot clock and DO NOT reset when these 10 things happen.
1.) Ball is deflected out of bounds by the defense. 2.) Kicked or fisted with 15 or more seconds on the shot clock. 3.) A player is injured or loses a contact. 4.) A charged timeout has concluded. 5.) During team control a defensive player causes a held ball and the possession arrow favors the offensive team. 6.) An inadvertant whistle with team control. 7.) Any technical foul against the offense. 8.) After any double personal or technical fouls or simultaneous personal or technicals where there is team control unless the penalty changes possession. 9.) After a simultaneous held ball occurs during a throw in or after an unsuccessful try that does not contact the rim and the arrow favors the offense. 10.) After the ball goes out of bounds and was last touched simultaneously by both teams, either in bounds or out of bounds. 2.11.7.a-j pg 38-39
When there is a difference in time between when the shot clock reads zero and the horn sounds, which measure is used?
The sound of the horn is when the shot clock period expires. 2.11.9 pg 39
True / False - The shot clock operator should leave the shot clock running without a reset during loose balls and shot attempts at the wrong basket?
True . 2.11.11 pg 39
What are the five correctable errors?
1.) Failing to award a merited free throw. 2.) Awarding an unmerited free throw. 3.) Permitting a wrong player to attempt a free throw. 4.) Permitting a player to attempt a free throw at the wrong basket. 5.) Erroneously counting or canceling a score. 2.12.1 a-e pg 39-40
For correctable errors involving free throws, when must the error be recognized and still able to correct?
When the game clock is stopped, the error must be recognized and corrected after the first dead ball after the game clock has properly started. 2.12.2 pg 40
Player A1 shoots two free throws with 13:45 on the game clock in the second half and makes them both. Team B inbounds the ball and is then call for a violation. Before the ball is inbounded by team A, an official discovers that A2 should have shot the free throws and not A1. There is now 13:30 on the game clock. What is the correct ruling?
The free throws by A1 are nullified. A2 will shoot the two free throws and the clock will remain at 13:30. Play will resume after the second free throw as it would with any other free throw. 2.12.4 & 2.12.5 pg 40
