What is the duty to report injury under Land Transport Act?
Where a crash involves injury or death the driver must report the incident to the nearest station or officer as soon as reasonably practicable or no later than 24Hours.
Exception: The driver is incapable of doing so because of injuries sustained in the accident
What is the requirement to stop and ascertain injury under land and transport act 1998?
Where an incident arising directly or indirectly occurs
-A person
OR
A vehicle
- The driver or rider must stop and ascertain wether somebody is injured and render all practice assistance
What is the duty to report damage under the Land and Transport act 1998?
When a crash damages an unoccupied vehicle or another property belonging to another person the driver MUST:
- Report within 48 hours to the owner or the nearest police station within 60hours.
- Details to leave are: Name, Address, Rego, Crash location.
