To work with the local community to use soft engineering strategies to resolve the catchments issues.

Planted extensive peat bogs and woodland areas.

Riparian woodland just outside Coldstream.
How have the RTCMP attempted to reduce flood risk?
Reinforced the banks with wooden posts in places like Coldstream.

Help filter out pollutants particularly from agricultural fertillisers creating a more healthy water way.
How do the RTCMP help local industries?
Adopted ‘Catch and put back’ scheme meant fish populations sustained helping fishing industry. Hold agricultural shows in peak tourist season.
