Reversible Reactions Flashcards
What is a reversible reaction?
A reversible reaction is a reaction where the reactants and products react together to give the reactants back. A and B can react to form C and D or, in the reverse reaction, C and D can react to form A and B.
If the forward reaction is exothermic the reverse reaction will be?
Endothermic
when both sides of a reverse reaction reach the same quantity, and react at exactly the same rate what is the name?
Dynamic Equilibrium
What is equilibrium?
The products and the reactants concentrations are no longer changing.
What is a reversible reaction?
In a reversible reaction, if you cool a liquid and a liquid is the product, more will be made, and the point of equilibrium moves to the right.
