Respondent validation
Asking respondents to check the findings / analysis and validate them. Used by Interpretivists as a way of being reflexive.

This study aimed to enable Chinese older people to influence policy and practice.
They used group discussions, focus groups and established of three local working groups. In order to ensure high levels of validity the researchers used respondent validation. This involved asking the participants from the research to check through the conclusions of the research to ensure the researchers had correctly interpreted and presented the older Chinese people they had studied.

respondent validation is the idea of checking your interpretation with the respondents themselves, after the research is completed. Doing this increases objectivity because you can check your analysis with those studied and they can express their values and impact your findings
