Respiration Flashcards
What is aerobic respiration
Aerobic Respiration is when glucose reacts with Oxygen. What this reaction does is that it transfers energy that your cells can use. This energy is vital for everything that goes on in your body. Aerobic Respiration takes place all the time in plant and animal cells
What kind of reaction is aerobic respiration
Aerobic respiration is a chemical reaction
What are the waste products
The waste products of aerobic respiration is carbon dioxide and waste
Where does aerobic respiration take place
Aerobic Respiration takes place in your digestive system, lungs, and circulation
Where does aerobic respiration happen in a plant
In Plants it usually occurs in the mitochondria as it requires fuel for aerobic repiration. But other parts of the cell play a big role
Why is it important
Aerobic Respiration are always needed for animals. Energy is transferred to make muscles contract. We always use our muscles therefore we always need Aerobic Respiration. Respiration always keeps your warm when it is cold therefore Aerobic Respiration is important
