up to 80% are nosocomial carriers, most common cause of respiratory tract infection next to streptococcus pneumoniae

A

acute otitis media, sinusitis, penumonia in non-encapsulated/nontypeable strains

In addition to bacteremia, cellulitis, epiglotitis

meningitis in type b strains
