One step missed often in rescue
Check that cables are not damaged and there is tension on the cables. Use chains or cables to secure car while working from above.
“Car Station” and “Emergency Fireman’s Switch
Deactivates hall buttons, must hold down door close or floor button until doors close and then select floor. Hold down door open to open door.

Step 1 for Metro Elevator
Report to kiosk and determine if attendant has tried moving, called mechanic and has ETA
Step 2 for Metro Elevator
Contact Passengers via intercom system to determine number and condition, and check emergency stop button. Bell should be ringing and pushing in will reset
Step 3 for Metro Elevator
Check OOS, Override and Emergency stop buttons at kiosk for normal position. Try override switch at kiosk using Landing switch or door open switch.
Step 4 for Metro Elevator
Use FEE or Fireman’s Emergency Elevator key. This may bypass an overheat switch and allow car to travel to landing.
