LH
oxytocin
prostaglandins
cortisol

what does oestrogen do
rebuilds the uterine lining and stimulates release of LH by pituitary
what does FSH do
(follicle stimulating hormone) triggers the growth of eggs in the ovaries and gets the eggs ready for ovulation
what does LH do
(luteinizing hormone) helps control the menstrual cycle. It also triggers the release of an egg from the ovary

what does prostaglandins do
help uterine contraction
what does cortisol do
stress hormone, helps with maternal instinct
what are the 3 layers of the uterus
Perimetrium, Myometrium, Endometrium
what is the perimetrium
the outside layers which supports the structure of the uterus
what is the myometrium
the middle layer which consists of a muscle layers which aids in parturition as it contracts to push out the foetus
