• Oval shaped
• Contained in scrotum - hold the testes away from the body to decrease temperature
• Contains 200 - 300 lobules each containing seminiferous tubules - produce sperm
• Each seminiferous tubules = connected to epididymis: stores sperm + carries it to the vas deferens and out of the testes
