- begin as blind ended tubes
- Valves in capillary walls are pushed open by interstitial fluid which moves into the vessel
4
Q
Describe lymph vessles
A
- Capillaries join to larger vessels called lymphatic vessels.
- Lymph is moved along the vessel by surrounding muscle contractions.
- Also have valves (like veins) to prevent backflow.
