Q

How is a seed formed?

A

1) Pollen from an anther is transferred to a stigma, this is called pollination.
2) A pollen tube will then grow down the style and digestive enzymes help break down the ovary walls.
3) Now the pollen will meet with the ovule and fertilization takes place.
4) Ovule then forms the seed. The ovule wall forms the seed coat, and the ovary wall forms the fruit.
