Whats an enzyme and how does it work?
A
A biological catalysts. Speeds up the rate of chemical reactions without being used up.
An enzyme has a special part on it called the active site. The substrate molecule binds to that active site and the products form the reaction are then formed.

A digestive enzyme that digests starch into glucose.

A digestive enzyme that breaks down protein into amino acids.
