Q

How does the newspaper present inequalities in society?

A

The Daily Mirror uses stereotypical representations of the prime minister and other members of the government to convey its left wing agenda and to raise awareness of inequalities in society.

This is particularly pertinent with this story through which the inequalities in power are highlighted - those in power have been seen to flout the rules they themselves set, whilst the ‘ordinary person’ conformed to the restrictions and suffered as a result.
