  • composed of embryogenic tissue/fetal tissue
  • mostly in 1 kidney
  • 2-5 yr
  • associated w/ congenital abn (ex. aniridia)
  • associated w/ Chr abn (eg. WT1 on Chr 11)
  • single mass that’s palpable

stage 1: w/in kidney, NOT affecting the capsule
stage 2: malignancy extends into capsule
stage 3: malignancy extends into the abdomen
