  • benign, multiple growths -> specific (looks like cauliflower)
  • lesions can appear pharyngeally
  • transient (once you have it, you’re stuck with it)

treatment

A
  • no cure
  • remove warts
  • drugs
    ~topical preparations that are cytotoxic, antimitotic or
    cytostatic to cells of lesion, NOT virus
    ~cryotherapy -> use cold temp or liquid nitrogen
  • monitor for cervical CA (type 16 & 18) d/t increased risk
    ~monitor through PAP smears
