Gender Role
Refers to cultural expectations of the way in which men and women should behave and think
Gender Stereotypes
Beliefs about the behaviours, attitudes, and personalities of men vs women (eg. men shouldn’t cry and all women are nurturing)

Attraction and is independent of gender

Between 3 - 6 years old, children start to develop gender constancy - at the same time, they are adopting rigid gender stereotypes.
