  • any number associated with the responsible pharmacist’s registration

    2010
  • the date and time at which the responsible pharmacist became the
    responsible pharmacist;
  • the date and time at which the responsible pharmacist ceased to be
    the responsible pharmacist;

Outline regrigerator records - fridge temperatures

  • A daily log of the temperature of the fridge
  • Temperature should be kept between 2 and 8 degrees Celcius
  • Record is kept to meet contractual requirements regarding the safety
    of medicines
  • Record will also allow pharmacists to determine whether a medicine
    in the fridge is safe to supply or not
  • Medicines stored in Fridges can become less effective if they get too
    hot or are frozen

* Every page of the register must specify the name of the drug and the strength
and form (i.e. a different page for every variation in strength, name/brand name
and form of a drug

  • The Terms of service of NHS pharmacists within The National Health
    Service Regulations
    2013
    Requires Pharmacists to:
  • Keep and maintain records of drugs and appliances provided, in order to
    facilitate the continued care of the patient;
  • in appropriate cases, of advice given and any interventions or referrals
    made
  • This can be met by using the PMR system in the pharmacy to record any
    supplies made as part of the dispensing process
