public put in pharmacy

Registration Renewal
* Is simply the process for
informing the GPhC that
you wish to remain on the
pharmacist register
* Is not part of the
revalidation process and is
not counted as a lifelong
learning activity
* Requires you to submit
revalidation records
What is CPD
Continuing Professional
Development(CPD)
- CPD is the ongoing process of developing,
maintaining and documenting your
professional skills.

e.g : By the end of May this year, I will be able to
explain the therapeutic differences between the three main antihypertensive drugs taken by my patients to ensure that all my
patients receive the antihypertensive drug that is most
appropriate for them and that they achieve their target blood
pressure levels with little or minimal side effects
Outline the 2 types of learning you can record in CPD entries
- Planned learning – when you decide to develop your
knowledge and/or skills in advance of carrying out the
learning activity. - Unplanned learning – when an event happens that
causes an unscheduled learning activity without prior
thought or planning, for example through reading a journal
or talking to a colleague.

Outline what happens after submission of revalidation evidence
- Ensure you submit your documents before or by the
annual renewal deadline - The GPhC selects a random sample for review
- A pharmacy professional and a law person independently
review the evidence. - Developmental feedback is given to the individual
registrant via a feedback report
