Successes: Infectious diseases declined, Life expectancy increased
Failures: Many doctors didnt support it, Huge costs- £500 million to set up, 1951- dental charges due to cost

A

Offered to all children, 11-plus exam divided pupils to different upper schools based on their ability (Grammar, Modern secondary school, Technical school)

A

Successes: helped relieve over crowding, modernised homes and were better quality, 1946-51- 800,000 new houses built, slums demolished
Failure: There were still massive shortage of houses, waiting lists were high for urban areas, lots of negative attitudes towards prefabricated housing

A

Successes: Lots of employment, production increased, working conditions improved, railway lines linked into remote areas, country side areas had more opportunities, workers were put before profit

Failures: Government paid £2700 million towards compensation to industries, People though government had too much control
