What were peoples reactions?

A

Ernest Bevan created a plan to release the military in order based on length of service and age. Many were frustrated by how slow the process was, this lead to lots of disciplinary incidents.

A

Many came back with their towns and homes destroyed. Divorce rates went up with 60,000 applicants

How did labour party win 1945 election?

A

Many blamed the conservatives for the war so they gave in to the appeasement and depression. Also the labour party presented the welfare state which appealed to many.
