- (AGS circuit) verifies first motion (> 8g’s);
- (microcontroller) calculates safe separation distance of 400m within 3.2 seconds;
- (AGS circuit) times minimum safe separation Arm Delay Time of 1.8 seconds;
- (FPGA) counts down Arm Delay Time (1.9 sec. min)
- receives “Arm” command from Controller and charges the FMs (i.e., arms).
What are the 3 Main components of the RBS 70 Bolide system?
Stand
MiC
Sight
What does the RBS 70 MiC consist of?
- Missile in Tube
- mech and elec interfaces for connection to Launcher.
- sealed inner covers to protect missile from dust & moisture.
- protected by padded end caps and a centre pad.
In the current in service RBS 70 Bolide missile, what components does the EP3 contain? List the functions they help to perform?
ELP3 contains the missile receiver optics including the filter, detector package and signal amplifier.
ELP3 detects the guidance beam pulses from the sight, converts them to amplified signals and provides them to ELP1.
In the current in service RBS 70 Bolide missile, what components does the EP2 contain? List the functions they help to perform?
EP2 contains the thermal battery, voltage converters and stabilisers used to produce the missile electrical power.
In the current in service RBS 70 Bolide missile, what components does the EP1 contain? List the functions they help to perform?
EP1 interfaces to the SAD and contains the missile fibre optic gyroscope that is used to control roll stabilisation of the missile during flight.
EP1 house the Central Processing Unit (CPU) which provides control and guidance during the missile activation, firing, flight and detonation phases.
