4/10 at A-40. A5’s kick is blocked by B33 and does not cross the NZ. The loose ball is recovered by B22 at the A-35 and he advances to the A-20 where he runs OOB. At the snap team A was in an illegal formation.
RULING: B 1/10 at A-20/snap/25. No team B dead-ball spot enforcement if the kick does not cross the NZ.
Kickoff at A-35. B22 signals for a fair catch at the B-10 but muffs the ball into the air as he attempts to catch the kick. The still airborne ball is subsequently caught by B33 at the B-5.
RULING: B 1/10 at B-10/snap/40. The ball is returned to the spot where the kick was muffed but no FC is awarded as B33 did not signal for one.
4/8 at B-25. A5’s FG attempt is low and B99 is able to deflect it at the B-23. The loose ball hits the ground at the B-15 and rolls to the B-5 where B22 muffs it into the EZ and then recovers it there while grounded.
RULING: B 1/10 at B-20/snap/25. B99’s deflection is considered to have occurred in or behind the NZ. B22’s touching beyond the NZ instates scrimmage kick rules.
2/G at the B-8. A17 rolls to his right and throws a pass towards the EZ. A88 leaps from 2 yards in the EZ, controls the ball, and is then hit by B22 while still over the EZ driving him back into the field of play. A88 lands on his feet at the B-2, runs 5 yards to his left and is tackled at the B-1.
RULING: TD via approved ruling
2/8 at the A-32. A17 drops back to pass and under pressure rolls to his right. B99 grabs A17’s face mask at the A-25 causing him to fumble the ball. The ball rolls forward to the A-34 where A67 recovers it while grounded.
RULING: A 1/10 at A-47/ready/25. Enforce the penalty from the previous spot when the end of the related run ends behind the NZ.
3/7 at the B-37. A17 throws a pass to A88 who catches it at the B-30. A88 runs to the B-20 where he fumbles the ball after a hard hit from B22. The ball rolls backwards and goes OOB at the B-25. B99 was flagged for roughing the passer after the pass was in flight.
RULING: A 1/G at B-10/ready/25. Enforce a personal foul during a pass play from the end of the run if no change of possession
Try at B-3. A17’s pass is intercepted by B33 in the EZ and returned for a touchdown. At the snap team A had five players in the backfield. During the interception return B33 blocked A33 below the waist and B44 targeted A22.
RULING: No score. A free kick at 50. The penalties are declined by rule and the score is cancelled. However, enforce the penalty for targeting (a flagrant foul) on the succeeding kickoff and DQ B44.
2/7 at A-43. Score is A17-B23. Neither team has a time out. A34 runs to the B-6 and is tackled inbounds by the face mask. 0:02 remain on the game clock in the 4th qtr. at the end of the play.
RULING: A 1/G at B-3/snap/25. Since team B is ahead in the score, their opponent has the option of starting the game clock on the ready or snap after the 2-minute time-out.
