Ruling: B 1/10 @ B-2. Snap. 25. This foul is governed by PSK rules since this was an unsuccessful FG and met all other criteria under 10-2-3. The penalty will be enforced from the spot of the foul, B-4.
A 4-12 B-32. A attempts a FG, at the snap A76 grabs and twist B12’s face mask, B32 blocks the FG attempt and the ball is picked up by B87 at the B-26 and returned to the A-34.
Ruling: B-1-10 A34. Snap. 25. The FMM will be declined, otherwise A would have the opportunity to replay the down.
As a punt rolls along the ground at the B-26, A44 blocks B33 into the ball which bounces away and strikes B48 in the leg at the B-19. Team A recovers at the B-19.
Ruling- Team A ball 1/10 @ B-19 Snap. 25. Although the touching by B33 is forced touching the touching by B48 is not (rule 2-11-4). B48 touching of the ball allows team A to recover legally.
A 4-10 @ B-32, 1:23 in the 4th, no timeouts for either team, score is A23 B26. QB A32 runs to the B-25 and pitches the ball back to A98, A98 muffs the pitch at the B-26 and while trying to recover the ball accidently kicks the ball out of bounds to the B-21. B62 was offside at the snap.
Ruling: A-1-10 @ B-21. Snap. 25. This a backwards pass and not a fumble so A will get the ball at the B-21, no option for turning the clock on for B’s foul.
A 1/G @ B-9. Early in the 2nd quarter. As receiver A87 begins his route B23 grabs A87’s mouthpiece (which was attached to his facemask and not wearing properly) and pulls downward and rips it off the facemask. A87 has to readjust his helmet slightly while continuing his route to the end zone where he catches a pass for a TD.
Ruling: A Try @ B-3. There is no language in the rule book that states the mouthpiece is part of the facemask or helmet, therefore it is not a foul.
A 3/8 @ B-14. Score is A 24, B 31. QB A12 throws a pass to receiver A87 in the end zone that is complete for a TD. After the score WR A87 points at B23 as he is running by B23 makes an obscene gesture. Time expires in the 4th quarter on the play.
Ruling: A Try at the B-18 or enforce at the succeeding spot in OT. The UNS foul by A87 can be enforced on the Try or the succeeding spot in OT. 10-2-5-c.
A Try @ B-3. Lineman B90 jumps into the neutral zone and contacts A77. After the officials stops play before the snap can occur, A87 grabs B90 and forcefully throws him to the ground.
Ruling: A Try @ B16.5. Even though the foul by A87 is a PF it must be enforced on the try. 8-3-3-d-1
A 2/10 @ A-35. Score is A 27 B 20. No TO’s remaining for either team. Running back A22 runs around right end and is tackled inbounds at the A-47. During the run A81 held B98 at the A-40. B55’s helmet comes off during the play. When the play is over there is 3:22 remaining in the 4th quarter.
Ruling: A 2/15 @ A-30. Snap. 40. The OH is enforced from the spot of the foul (A-40). The play clock is set to 40. Similar to AR 3-2-4-V except under 5:00 in 4th.
